most people arn’t always aware that monotheism came as a profound modification to religon, as to provide individual ethic to free people from arbitrary power, injustice and social moral order.

Yes I know, it is counter intuitive, but if you look at history, Abraham exile out of Ur-Babylone, Israel escape from Egypt, Jesus preaching against religious order, in midst of jewish uprising against roman empire, and Muhammad’s fight against Quraysh monopolist merchant, were all fight for justice and emancipation.

It doesn’t seems like this today, cause monotheism was in turn used as state or empire religion and social order. But this ethico practical system is still present in the books, and most believer belivee in solidarity and social justice, even thought clergy actually tends to limit the scope of this call for justice, freedom and sharing.
